Holly Park Marina is the trailhead of the TPW Patroon Bayou Paddle Trail, a designated Texas Paddling Trail, where you can experience the world class fishing and wildlife viewing of upper Toledo Bend Lake. The trail consists of a 2 mile loop and an 8 mile loop for more experienced paddlers.
Along the trail you can fish for bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. Barfish are plentiful during the summer. Holly Park Marina has great lodging and a full service tackle store with fishing equipment, lures and live bait. You can also pick up breakfast or lunch at Holly Park’s grill – they serve the best burgers on the Bend - and their convenience store is well stocked with cold drinks, ice, snacks and other goodies.
A diverse range of wildlife make their home on Patroon Bayou and you may spot resident Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Herons, Kingfishers, whitetail deer on the bank, and many other animals.
Make memories with friends and family! Paddling the Bayou is a great group activity for family gatherings, spring break, birthdays, holiday celebrations, or a girls day out while the guys are fishing a tournament.
We will meet you and launch from Holly Park Marina, weather permitting, from the pavilion across the highway from the store. Please use our online Kayak Reservation Form or give us a call or text at 936-201-6495 to schedule your paddle.

RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST A DAY IN ADVANCE by completing our Kayak Reservation Form. We'll contact you to confirm availability of kayaks, dates and times. Our schedule is set by 5pm the day prior. Reservation Forms received after 5pm will be addressed the following day as our schedule allows and does not guarantee an opening that day. This allows us to check current weather reports, plan loads and routes and clean kayaks between trips. Because we have a limited number of kayaks and they go fast, please reserve well in advance on holidays and weekends.
We occasionally do pop up hourly rental events where walk ups are welcome; follow our Facebook page for announcements.
Each person who will be using a kayak will need to complete our Liability Waiver in advance via the link here on the website. A completed Rental Contract is also required by individuals or the person responsible for the group or party.
Parents must complete our Liability Waiver for minors under 18 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children must be 13 or older to paddle their own Single Kayak.
- One child 5 to 6 years old can sit in front of one adult on our Premium Single Kayaks.
- One child 5 to 7 years old can sit between two adults on a Tandem kayak.
- One child 8 years and older can sit or paddle with one adult on a Tandem kayak.
Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled launch time to complete rental documents and receive fitting and instruction.
What if the weather is bad? For safety, we do not deliver kayaks during prolonged rain events, flooding, thunderstorms, high winds, or on weather alert days. If dangerous weather is predicted and we need to cancel your trip we will notify you as soon as the Weather Service has a firm prediction, usually 24 to 48 hours in advance, and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip. While kayaks are in your possession, please use your discretion and be weather aware. If a pop-up storm should occur go to the nearest bank, pull kayaks on shore, seek any available shelter and wait it out. Give us a call or text to let us know you'll be delayed.
