In the event that the tour is cancelled due to bad weather we'll notify you the evening prior and you'll have the option to either reschedule or receive a full refund. We must be notified of your cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the start of the trip to issue a full refund.

You'll be outfitted in one of our Premium Kayaks with a comfortable frame seat, paddle with lanyard, paddle PFD, and waterproof phone pouch. Please bring your favorite hydrating drinks, sunscreen, hat, shoes that can get wet, your camera and we recommend paddling gloves to help paddle grip and prevent blisters.

This 3-to-4-hour tour follows the TPW Palo Gaucho Designated Paddle Trail where we'll slip quietly into the backwaters of historic Palo Gaucho Bayou. You'll paddle through an area rich in wildlife including many species of birds, deer, wild hogs, turtles and an occasional alligator. Native trees, shrubs and both emergent and submerged aqu
This 3-to-4-hour tour follows the TPW Palo Gaucho Designated Paddle Trail where we'll slip quietly into the backwaters of historic Palo Gaucho Bayou. You'll paddle through an area rich in wildlife including many species of birds, deer, wild hogs, turtles and an occasional alligator. Native trees, shrubs and both emergent and submerged aquatic plants abound. Depending on pace and observation stops, the tour time may go longer than the scheduled 3.5 hours. You'll be outfitted in one of our Premium Kayaks with a comfortable frame seat, paddle with lanyard, paddle PFD, and waterproof phone pouch. Please bring your favorite hydrating drinks, sunscreen, hat, shoes that can get wet, your camera and we recommend paddling gloves to help paddle grip and prevent blisters. This is a more advanced skill and endurance level trail.

We Can Put Together An Amazing Experience That Fits Your Interests!
Let us help you achieve the perfect kayaking experience, from birdwatching to wildlife photography. We can put you in a kayak that's stable and roomy enough to fit you and your gear comfortably. We have dry bags available however we recommend that you have your own waterproofing for your cameras, binoculars and other specialty gear.
We occasionally schedule specialty tours with emphasis on local history, local ecology and more. We can also organize a day of kayaking followed with a wine tasting and charcuterie at the local winery on the historic Hemphill Square in Hemphill. Larger group tours are available and although we're limited to 4 guests at a time, we can schedule shorter, consecutive tours throughout the day for your larger party. Lost Frontier is an ideal location that offers additional amenities, so no one gets bored waiting for their tour times.
